Bahncard woes |

| The way the BahnCard subscription works is standard German (European?) practice: you sign up for something, it will be renewed automatically, and you only have a specific period (4 weeks?) which ends at some specific time before renewal to cancel, all laid out in eye-bleeding-inducing detail. Magazine subscriptions, cable tv, telephone service, car insurance, BahnCard...all the same, so it really ain't unique to Die Bahn. It's kind of unnatural to Yanks though, you really do have to read the fine print. If you should ever be interested in living in Europe, I suggest you make up with them, in the interests of credit worthiness. ;) |
