More Bamberg pubs |

| Easy directions for finding the Stegaurach pub (whose name escapes me at the moment): Start at Lange Strasse and walk up the Grüner Markt towards the Ketternbrücke. When you reach Maximillian Platz on the left will be the Karstadt department store building. Turn left and walk along the edge of the building -- straight ahead you will see the front door of the pub, a couple short blocks down. It is where Cafe Download used to be -- the original Bamberg internet cafe for us old timers :) Das Bootshaus is nice -- just be aware they are only open in the warmer months. They used to serve Kraus (of Hirschaid) but it's been a few years since I've been. I almost got in a fight at the wine kneipe -- I was trying to read the menu on the wall (after seeing the Eichhorn sign) and some customer thought I was trying to steal his bike! |
