It might indeed come to pass in Bavaria. I had been pessimistic about it passing, but early indicators (the leader of the pro-smoking outfit admitting defeat) suggest optimism might be in order. The trend, with 2/3 of the Landkreise (counties) counted so far, is 60%+ for a new, total, consistent smoking ban. So the air in places like Hebendanz and Griess might finally get completely cleaned up. Happy (Yank) Independence Day, coincidentally.
