| I didn't have time today and will do what I can tomorrow (my last day in Bamberg) but some places to check out for those of you who will be here before I'm back in August. All are on Austrasse, the street that generally runs parallel to the Grünner Markt (to the west). Caffee New York. I didn't get the address but it's a single digiti number near Lange Strasse. Some guy thought I was trying to steal is bicycle so I moved on. They have a sign for Brauerei zur Sonne, Bischberg. Weinstube Heska, Austrasse 10. They seem to serve Eichhorn from Dörfleins. Food as well. Hof Cafe, Austrasse 14 (upstairs). They seem to have bottles from Brauhaus am Kreuzberg (a/k/a Freidls Keller). Their sign seem to imply they might have in on draft Sundays after 5pm. The first 20 bottles on Monday night are half price. Checking the flyer I picked up they may have Zwickel and "Whiskybier" (aged in a whisky barrel) vom Fass. More research is needed. |
