| Mike, it's not so much as Kaiserdom beers are "bad," it's that they're considered to be less exceptional than the small-brewery beers more treasured by the locals. The term "Einheitsbier" comes to mind: acceptable products from a larger brewery (relatively speaking, at 250000 hl annually) but not what some would regard as outstanding, and the beers are harder to distinguish from other large regionals, like Leikeim, Franken-Bräu, Püls-Bräu, and other similar moderately large breweries. |
