I visited the Forchheim kellers on a weekday in late September. During the day, the weather was warm and sunny. I visited the kellers in the evening. About 6 to 8 of them were open. Despite the odd coach party of pensioners, attendances were low, and it was a pretty grim scene when the sun went down and the night turned chilly. Some of the kellers were closing down at about 8:30. If its a pleasant day, I expect some of them will be open at a weekend. But I'm not sure on that.
