About the Bierfilm

I saw it tonight, despite Odeon's best attempts to prevent this, with the sound falling out during the interesting discussion of property vs. brewing rights and the entire film going blank for about 5 minutes just after Fred's appearance. Very cool, like umpteen shows I've seen on German tv about beer, but done better. I'll be buying the DVD ASAP. I am disappointed that we weren't treated to Fred's excellent Deutsch, not even an "eesh bin ein Bamberger". I mean, yeah, the average Yank tourist speaks practically no German, but Fred does. The audience doesn't get the fact that he can also get around auf Deutsch, which I think is a shame. IMO. The loudest laughter occurred at the end when the one guy made some sort of joke about buying beer in a supermarket or something.
