Some updates from Bamberg...

...there still is beer here and it still is good :) THe Marktsub'n that supposedly had Hausbräu Stegaurauch on draft: well their taps are broken(?) and they only have bottles. The onwer/manager said the should have the draft back in a month so so. For those old timers the Marktsub'm is where the old Download Cafe (internet cafe) was. Its more off the Maxplatz then the Grüner Markt. It is Monday night and there where two customers (plus the owner and a bartender) and I seriously increased not only the average age but the total age as well :) But the folks were nice and if they really do get the Hausbräu on draft it's worth a visit. The former Einhorn Brewery on Sandstrasse looks pretty much the same as ver -- a sign out front but no visible activity. They have removed the old brewery sign (hopefully for repair). Futher down on Sandstrasse, Monschein (next to Lewinskis) still has a keg from Hölzlein Lohndorf on Monday nights. At €1.50 a seidla it is a steal but it is a smoker's bar (as is Marktstub'n BTW) so one is all I can. Next door the Blaue Glocke still has interesting beers, mostly Fischer Freudeneck. I did speak to somebody who actually watched a brew at Seelmann in Zettmansdorf so they really are brewing again. I'm sure there is more news but after 5 bock biers (plus numerous others) I don't remember :)
