Real Lager...and...

I forgot to note: Yes, there is no CAMRA-like movement here, nor does anyone except for a very small minority seem to give a rip about bayerischen Anstich vs. forced CO2 dispense. I believe I perceive a bit of an attitude here like: Well, since this is Germany, and the brewers are German brewers, and Germany is the world champion of brewing, then brewers and publicans must know what they're doing. Exaggerated, perhaps, and maybe not at all accurate, but that's the way I see it. And there is the craving for efficiency which offsets the craving for craftsmanship: CO2 dispense is more efficient, modern, etc.
