Yeah, it was good. And of course Danny's suggestion to start at Ott was the right thing to do after all, and that Aichinger Spezial is much, much better than I had remembered from a couple of years ago. And the publican-ess was in top form too--complaining about her hearing aid not working, my asking too many questions..."Spezial!" was the answer when asked what sort of beer it was. I may have to head back today. The Dunkel at Schwanne was nearly undrinkable. And the Karpfen Blau there wasn't as great as I'd hoped; there wasn't enough Sud (http://www.dict.cc/?s=sud) flavour in the fish, or the Sud wasn't zesty enough, though the quality of the fish itself was pretty good. Just kind of bland.
