Sounds wonderful and a long way from the Irish (or even British experience). I did a bit of this watching on my last visit, very interesting. One of the reaons that I was interested in the Egronet is the possibility of an alternative cheapish route to Bamberg from my home base neat Shannon. At present, the best alternative is in to Memmingen (now sold by Ryanair as Munch West!) then train but this involves quite a long journey. An alternative seemed to fly into Alternburg (Leipzig) and try to connect with the Egronet but I'm not sure quite how this might be done. But it seems a lot nearer from Leipzig to Bamberg than Memmingen - anyone any ideas?
