Some beer walks for beginners

I don't remember seeing youse with your bikes this year. (?) Those with Handy/mobile/cell phone access in this country might check out the new "Call a Bike" deal at DB: http://www.callabike-interaktiv.de/kundenbuchung/ ("English Summary" at the upper left). The prices(*) are quite reasonable for *new* bikes with decent gears, although yes, they look a bit dorky. I'd shy away from a cheap, rusty, bone shaker, as such a one could lead to problems on the road. (*By the minute, 9 € a day, or 36 € a week.) On average, I'd say you can get at least thrice (a *great* word for the Germans here to practice) as far by bike per day as you can by foot.
