Little Venice?

Carolyn, that is an excellent spot and a short walk to the Altstadt. Regardless of where you stay in Bamberg you're going to do a lot of walking around anyhow. It is a small city but there is so much to see and do that you'll find yourself putting a lot mileage on the legs. But it's good to start from a roughly central location and little venice will do nicely.
