I visited Malzmuhle - excellent pub - can't remember the price. I do remember that 20 cls of Kolsch (which I don't think is anything special) in Fruhe am Dom (ok, probably a tourist trap although a lovely place and good beer) was over €2, and the same in the other Kolsch pubs that I visited. It seems like a lot of money when you can get a 50 cls of decent beer for just over €2 in many parts of Bavaria (less than €2 in Windisch.). OK, I know that, being from the UK, we have a bit of a hang-up about full glasses, but 20 cls of beer, when the froth is included is not much more than a couple of mouthfuls - maybe I've got a big mouth! Yes, it was Gleumes that I was thinking of - the closest to a Bavarian pub in the area - but I couldn't find anything else. |
