| You'll see the two monasteries (Kloster) opposing each other from either side of the valley as you drive north. They're beautiful locations; a quick detour to Vierzehnheiligen shouldn't cost much time. Go there and see for yourself if it's worth investing a half hour or an hour to drink some beer there before heading on. Personally, I've never cared for the beer there much: it's a bit thin and reminds me too much of so many other beers made in modern, refurbished breweries which have less character than beers from older breweries do. But that's just me. |
