I read in this weekend's paper that the 1 AM train from N to ER took 3 hours last Saturday. People were hardly given any information about the delay during the journey. This sounds like the same time that you were waiting for yours. Lots of complaints, and DB has said, "Sorry!" But in reality, passengers do have rights to claim at least partial refunds when delays are more than an hour. I don't know the details--maybe someone more versed in train things does?
