Bahn closure: bus stop locations

Thanks for the info. I will be visiting in September while the Deutsche Bahn engineering works are still ongoing. Is there an express bus from Nuremberg to Forchheim? The DB web site suggests getting a slow train from Fuerth... But I have just returned from Berlin. I expected transport chaos, as 70% of the S-Bahn trains have been taken out for urgent safety testing. http://www.thelocal.de/national/20090720-20705.html However, there were no problems. S-bahn was running a reduced service, but more RE trains were added. I used buses and trams mostly and found them to be punctual, clean, and a great way to see the city, with no major traffic jams.
