Bamberg here I come!

Flight leaves Boston 6pm tonight. Jimbo, I'm staying at the IBIS hotel tommorrow night so I'll let you know if the internet access is available. Basically if I post on here tommorrow or Friday then it is available if I don't then you can assume it is not. I move over to Altstadt Hotel Molitor on Friday right across from Klosterbrau. Braunbier for breakfast! I was hoping to do some serious keller hopping Saturday and Sunday (Kreuzberg and Strullendorf walk respectively) but it looks like the weather probably will not cooperate so who knows. Luckily there are at least 50 brewpubs in the area I want to visit so plans B through Z are all lined up. This is my third visit and the only one where I've had an entire week in Bamberg. So this time, I won't miss some of the places I've missed before (primarily Cafe Abseits!). I've also got some friends/first time visitors to Bamberg travelling with me. For me this adds greatly to the enjoyment as I get to witness first hand the pleasure and amazement on their faces as they visit the wonderful brewpubs and kellers and taste these amazing beers for the first time. Not to mention the handful of military friends and wives I have that are based in the area that have decided to get out beyond the Green Goose and Irish Pub for a change and go on a pub crawl with us Saturday and Monday nights. As a grand finally for the week it looks like two of my travelling companions and I are lucky enough to get to do some touring with Juergen. Thanks Juergen, we're looking forward to it! Safe to say I'm really excited about this trip. Once again this website has been a huge help in putting together information. Fred you are the man! Now I just have to contemplate on the long flight what beer I'm going to have first and try not to drool on the passenger sitting next to me. Cheers. Mark
