Pottenstein area recommendations |

| I didn't think the beers in Pegnitz were all that exciting. Pottenstein was another story. Mager, Hufeisen and the old Wagner brewery (beers from St Georgen-Bräu but including an excellent 'Pottensteiner') were all excellent. It really is a beautiful town. We stayed at Mager - I'd recommend it, though I don't recall thinking much of the breakfast. In the area I can highly recommend Held-Bräu in Oberailsfeld, Krug-Bräu in Breitenlesau and Kathi-Bräu in Heckenhof. |
