"At least as good as the Ibis." Jim, you're a comedian! Agreed--it's all what you want. I like modern plumbing, especially in this country, where modern plumbing is an amazing thing. So, newly rennovated or newly constructed hotels are where I prefer to lodge, when I'm not at home. Yes, Best Western in Europe appears to be a different thing than in the US. I've never really known what "punter" means, so I have no idea what "wannabe punter" means.
