| 1 km from Vesternberg? Nice area--for Mittelfranken! :) We tried all the Vesternbergers, and yes, that dunkle Export is pretty special. The Ammerndorfer beers impressed as well; we had a couple in the garden of the Greek place across from the brewery. The Bruckberger brewery situation is lovely and the beer good, but not the most exciting. Their Fastenbock was still on, and it was pretty good. The Uehlfelder Kellerbier in Voggendorf is nice too, if a bit malty for my personal taste. Very nice location though. Now I have to decide where to bike to today, the last non-rainy day for a while, according to the weather forecasts. Was in the Kellerwald and S'limbach on Wednesday, Geisfeld on Sunday and Thursday... |
