The beer's not that great, IMO. Lovely setting though, which makes up for it. The situation and view with the other impressive Klosterkirche on the opposite side of the valley--Kloster Banz, in whose Gaststätte one can drink Mönschshof--is worth seeing. Yeah, if one's been to Bamberg 10+ times, one should check it out. Pity that the beers from this and other *former* monastical breweries in Franken aren't better. Weißenohe's Annafestbier can be good, but their others are disappointingly bland and thin in body. Then again, I'm jaded--these are worth checking out. I'll probably head to both places again this summer.
