Bierkeller/biergartens when are they open?

My experience is that you need to be prepared for the unexpected. Nederkeller (at the top of the Kellerwald) is supposed to be open all year round - "Ganzjährig täglich ab 11 Uhr - Mittwoch Ruhetag" - but when I went there once about a week before Christmas, it was closed - the only occupant was an aggressive dog! Still, it was a pretty miserable day and I assume that management just didn't think anyone would be so crazy as to want to climb to the top of the Kellerwald for a beer! Löwenbräu Keller in Buttenheim is open all year round - "täglich ab 11 Uhr und Sonntag ab 10 Uhr geöffnet. September - April: Di + Mi Ruhetag; Mai - August: Dienstag Ruhetag" - and I've been there successfully outside the summer months. As Fred suggests, check out www.bierkeller.de, phone ahead to check that they are open.
