Bamberg accommodation

This doesn't help John, but there is a new Best Western hotel opening up in July just down the street from Spezial and Fässla. You might check on Bamberg.info for Ferienwohnungen -- some of them have 2 or 3 bedrooms or more than one apartment. I'm guessing you've checked the Ibis, but if not, that is usually my fallback hotel. I've also had decent luck with hrs.de -- they seem to have a bunch of Bamberg hotels.
