| There also is (or at least used to be) a bus that goes up Stephansberg but it is only really convenient for Wilde Rose Keller (which doesn't have a view, but it nice). You then have to walk down and up to get to Spezial Keller. As Jimbo says, its really more trouble than its worth. My mother is "mobility challenged" and she and my dad always take a taxi to Spezial Keller, without a problem. And they will call one for you when you want to leave. Taxis in Bamberg are generally not that expensive (compared to a big city) but there is a problem in that with all the narrow one way streets and pedestrian areas, getting from A to B sometimes includes a side trip to C and D -- and the cab driver is not trying to rip you off. That being said, a taxi to Spezial Keller is no big deal. |
