If you are travelling down to Bamberg from Frankfurt, you might want to consider a stop off in Wurzburg. As well as having some fine architecture, Wurzburg also has some nice weinstuben (wine taverns). The hospital in the centre of town brews their own brand of wine, I believe. Thats all I know about wine... Mike
