The lodging experince that I long for....

Over the last few trips to the area I've split my time between Fassla and the Drei Kronen in Memmelsdorf. Both appeal for certain reasons but I have to say the Drei Kronen appeals to me more if I want to relax and Fassla tends to be a place where I'd want to be if I'm trying to get a lot of drinking done in Bamberg proper. Fassla has 5 comfort zimmer on the 2nd floor of the hotel and they are a bit more cost wise but they are bigger and very well appointed. The other rooms are standard and offer basic accomodation. Drei Kronen as of December was in somewhat of an expansion mode building a new Fruhstuk room, reception and beer garden. They offer all sorts of rooms from very fancy to very basic... I think the food is better at Drei Kronen but beer is better at Fassla... Your taste may vary so read objectively. ToddA
