Bamberg parking |

| Fässla's parking lot is indeed free for guests. Also, a bit farther out from the center of town, the Altenburgblick hotel is just down the hillclimb from the Greifenklau brewery and pub, and they're both owned by the Brockard family. The Altenburgblick has plenty of parking for guests, and it's usually not hard to find parking along the Panzerleite road. Bischberg, the small town just NW of Bamberg, has lodgings offered by the local Braurei Zur Sonne, and there's a nice Ferienwohnung option there as well. Parking isn't at all difficult there, and Bischberg near the terminus of Bamberg's #6 municipal bus route. FTM, three of Bamberg's bus routes - 7, 17, and 27 - go northeast to Memmelsdorf, where two brewery-pubs - Höhn and Drei Kronen - offer lodgings with parking as well. You could also stay down in Hirschaid at Brauerei Kraus's hotel, leave your car parked there, and walk to Hirschaid Bahnhof to take the local train into Bamberg (or elsewhere). |
