| Hi Fred and anybody, I think the purists won't be upset. They'll be delighted, as your homepage is a franconian one, not a bavarian one. Franconia isn't limited by bavarian borders, but stretches to Baden-Württemberg (Hohenlohe-Franken, Tauberfranken) and even Thuringia (Thuringian Franconia: From Meiningen down to Eisfeld; also some breweries there). The people of these areas are of franconian culture, origin and language/dialect. Please note: Franconia was split after the napoleonic wars and the major parts given to Bavaria and Württemberg, a smaller part to Thuringia. I'd like to invite every person interested in the beer culture of western franconia: Send me an e-mail and then let's go... By the way, Fred: Yessss! Spielbach ist THE place! :-) Jürgen Wening |
