Weh O Weh!

woe is me! :) recovering now but am still dreaming about the U... just got back from Bamberg last night. good grief the U [Mahr's] vom fass is absolutely stunning this year! it is simply heaven in a glass/krug. i had many a krug of U last year, and even more this year but maybe it tastes even better now because i smell no smoke inside? lol. also, the place seems quite different without permanent floating smoke. i mean i could actually see things around me this time. was briefly in DUS and NUE wasting no time hitting the usual pubs [on the way there and back], and even managed to miss my flight to Bamberg haha. AND how can i not mention the Gutmann Weizenbock, which is superb! it's like eating and drinking at the same time. ps: Fred, i did see that Liefmans at the market you were talking about :)
