i like wirsing too. nicer than curly kale. apparently curly kale is most nutritious of brassica. did you have Schäuferla mit wirsing und Kloß? Kohlrabi is very common here. i like it best raw. so fresh and crunchy. i remember seeing one or two recipes for kohlrabi [mit rahm] in my Fränkische/Bayerische Küche cookery books. i shall have another look soon. another nice old forgotten root is Steckrüben. check out some beautiful food words in these photos of mine from last year: http://saudades.proboards81.com/index.cgi?board=food&action=display&thread=384 guten appetit!
