Best of Bock

The "Zwickelbock" was from Br. Haberstumpf, and was beautifully hoppy though a bit unclear. Clearly the best IMO, though I failed to try the Scheßlitzer. I'd only had the Haberstumpf Hopfen (Doppel-) Bock in the bottle at Abseits before; this is even better. Pale, hoppy Doppelbock. I recall droning on and on about various and sundry topics, pinning Frank in the corner and berating him about something or another. Sorry, Frank! I can be quite a drama queen after a bit of drinking. I blame the Böcke. And it had been a loooong day for me. 'Twas great to finally meet den Herrn Schoolmann, too! And Der Pelikan is a great place. Good, good food. Nice people. Mein Kater ("hangover" or "Tomcat") is surprisingly light! I'm not going to make it back tonight though. We *may* end up in Hirschaid, since we might do some shopping at the massive Neubert department store there.
