Thanks for all that,Iam still very much in the early stages,I have discovered most of the sites suggested already and am really looking for sites run by individualls(sort of as their hobby)Iam not a big fan of cities,and at the moment am thinking about virginia,or other areas of the south,all the research i have done so far bears out what you guys have said,that public transport as we know it in europe, does not exist in america I really dont want to drive,so I may have to go on a guided tour,but that will make it difficult to find any good craft beer! thanks. ps,Are greyhound buses(and the bus stations)as dangerous as i have been reading?or is this an urban myth?
