Breweries in the west of franconia

Mark, I can feel with you :-) Unfortunately you missed a gem, as there's a tiny and unbelievably old fashioned franconian brewery only 11 kms to the west of Rothenburg. The village is called Spielbach, the brewery is "Goldochsenbräu Spielbach". They brew a "Helles Spezialbier" with 5% alc., which is excellent. The small brewery/pub/farm is superb!!! Nothing has changed since the 50s there. The boss, Mrs. Unbehauen, is approx. 200 years old - so the food is real franconian grammy food. Top! I promised Fred to send him information about the breweries in the franconian territories beyond the bavarian border. I'll do it soon, so they can be attached to this website. Jürgen
