| My .02 cents worth (Euro or US$, take your pick). I didn't have the Hönig beer at the Sandkerwa, but did have it at the Diller Keller in Dörfleins and I enjoyed it. When I had beers at the Mahrs stand I was pretty well gone so I didn't notice anything. Most interesting beer: Hausbräu Stegaurach, which was just down the street from Hummel and Spezial. I agree about Fässla -- I usually only drink the Pils, but had a Lagerbier this time that was much better than in the past. I learned the key to get from one side of Sandstrasse to the other is to go up thru the Domplatz -- most drunks are too lazy to do that :) The second Abseits location, Geyserwerth Rathaus was nice -- not inside, but it wasn't crowded or noisy outside and you could alternate between Huppendorfer and Sonne Bischberg. BTW, Abseits sold (IIRC) 70 Hl of Huppendorfer, most of that coming from the little stand behind Schlenkerla. |
