Cutting Back on Hops?

I had a Seidla at the Löwenbräu Gaststätte next to the Buttenheimer Bahnhof yesterday, and it did seem a bit hoppier than last time, but still not like it was in years past. Maybe it was just a couple of "bad batches" where they forgot to add the hops? God, I hope so.
