Wieder Wein aus der Bierstadt

"Wine once again from the Biercity." So says the local paper today, and sure enough, there is mention of it online: http://www.stadt.bamberg.de/pres.phtml?La=1&FID=332.6668.1&sub=0&call=suche . Sylvaner and Johanniter vines will be planted on the south slope of the Michaelsberg (facing the Dom), which should then yield wine by 2012. It'll be the first Bamberger wine since the 19th century, when 600 years of wine making in the city ended. Not that anyone HERE should care, of course! ;)
