Klöße

Wow, nice pic's! I thought I took lots of photos of stuff *I* eat & drink, but then I saw this... One thing to clarify--a small thing--is that the "regular", white Klöße are made from potatoes except for a little piece of bread in the center, ergo "potato dumplings" would be a better translation. (I saw you describe them as "bread dumplings" a couple of times.) Semmelklöße or Semmelknödel are made with bread, and aren't unique to Franken.
