Indeed making phone calls is the most difficult thing for me to do in Deutsch...I think this difficulty is universal. You could, of course, have your Bierkellertischnachbar (table neighber at the Keller) help you make the call, if you think you need help. You probably wouldn't even have to buy him a beer to compensate him! :-0
