Brewerys in Franconia

Eric, My experience is that Beer Me is not always up-to-date. I find the following website, for collecters of beer coasters, to be more accurate about brewery closings: http://www.bierdeckelsammler.net/ This is off-topic for Franconia, but Lower Bavaria is the place to drink wheat beer. You can head south from Regensburg to places like Koesslarn and Triftern with wonderful wheat beer breweries. And near Freising you have wheat beers in Isen and Graming, plus Unertl from Haag, which sustains me in the Pils wasteland of Berlin. I also recommend the non-wheat beers at Au am Inn, which has a beautiful Braeustuebe.
