Yes Pat,It is whit monday holiday,as others have said.I was in Bamberg one year on fathers day everywhere was heaving and very rowdy by the end of the day!(but not threatening)if you ever get a chance to be there on that day. you should it is a real mans day!! enjoy your trip.
