| I just returned from Bamberg, the most recent of many trips. This time, I accompanied a home brewer friend to Weyermann's and was surprised to learn that they have a small Forschungsbrauerei, whose products are for sale in their gift shop. The price for a liter bottle of beer is steep, 5 Euro, but they have a wide variety of beers that you would never find brewed elsewhere in Germany, such as an IPA and other British ales, and various types of Belgian beers. The gift shop is only open on Friday afternoons, although they opened it up for us on the spot. |
