Bamberg visit

Writing this in Switzerland (next leg of the trip), had a good time in Bamberg. Met Frank Wetzel walking his dog on the slope of the Michaelsberg - he hopes to lead a more regular life now! Spezial refurbished their bathrooms and upped their prices a bit - you still get value for your money though. Revisited Hummel in Merkendorf, they now also have a Schwarzbier called Cowboy (!), and tasted their Leonhardi-bock for the first time. Also revisited Müller in Debring and had their unfiltered beer for the first time (Michala), nice beer. Wheather was reasonable, visited the Spezi-Keller on saturday. The U was great, both at the Keller and at Spezial itself, and a lot better than the U at Mahr's. Also visited for the first time both breweries in Reckendorf and Hümmer in Breitengüssbach; beers were o.k., nothing really special, best was the one beer they brew at Schroll. Food at Schlossbräu and Hümmer was good. Pity we did not meet Nick, hope to see you later this year.
