Erlangen recommendations

Last year I checked the Forchheim hotels for Annafest, and they were all booked, in part because there are not very many Forchheim hotels. I made it back to the train in time for the last train (or was it the second to last train?) most times, but one time I just told the taxi driver (got the taxi at the Fest) to drive me all the way to Bamberg. I think it was ~35 Euros.
