Kathrein Bock @ Café Abseits

[Following-up to Gerhard Schoolmann's post below: http://www.franconiabeerguide.com/discussdet.asp?SORT=DATE&IDKEY=ZZK9030102 ] I can vouch for the quality of the Kathrein Bock, having enjoyed it last Saturday. It was a great substitute for the reportedly too-young Zwickel-Josephi Bock: fine, pale, dry, and hoppy. Thank you for the warning/explanation here as well as on the Bierkarte. Words fail to express how wonderful it was to enjoy our favorite Café's new smoke-free character. Now we can spend a few hours there without the smoke driving us away or making us miserable. Bravo! And the special price on Fischer Rauchbier in the smoker's corner in the garden--a *great* idea. I just wish Bamberg weren't so far away... [Sorry for the new thread, but the Bock and session at Abseits were so good that a new thread was warranted, to avoid being lost in the old one.]
