Thanks for this--fantastic detail indeed! Zoom in on http://www.geodaten.bayern.de/BayernViewer/index.cgi?rw=4424710&hw=5513830&layer=TK&step=2 and you can see the big new Friedels Übergaststätte on Kreuzberg, and to the right, the little treehouse for the Kinder, I think. ;) Seriously, I think there is a different mentality about "bike paths" or "bike lanes" in Franken. *Any* path or road is a bike path. Sure, there are many paved bike lanes running parallel to main roads, and these tend to be marked on newer maps. But people bike on other roadways too. If it's on a map, bike on it, regardless of its color. Problem is, there are just too many paths. Well, I suppose if there were enough 25000 scale maps, then every path would be mapped. I use the Fritsch and Compass maps extensively, as well as another one at 35000 scale with Keller, Brauereien, and Gaststätten marked upon it.
