| I visited Vierzehnheiligen in Decmber 2005 I think. The church is quite impressive if you like over-the-top religious architecture. The brewery is pretty good as well. I was there in December so I was able to drink their bock on draft. My only word of advice is that I'm not sure how reliable the bus service is on the return. I took a bus from the train station to a bus stop a bit below the basilica. After visiting the basilica and drinking I returned to the bus stop. Without remembering exact details, I wandered back to the bus stop expecting to have about 15 minutes or more to wait. As soon as I arrived, so did a bus. Either it was the correct bus arriving early, or it was a different bus that was not on the posted schedule. You might want to try to confirm return times with the bus driver. It seems like quite a walk back into town although I'm sure a taxi would come to get you from the brewery. |
