2.3 million hl

I think what the author is referring to is the cut-off of 15,000 Barrels per year for microbrewery vs non-microbrewery (including macrobrewery). As far as I know, "craft" does not have any official cut-off, and that is why this term has become popular lately. Many of the craft breweries in the US have grown beyond the official 15,000 barrel/year size. Is 2.3 million hL = 230 megaliter? :-)
