| Sounds like you've been to all the really good ones! Deinlein Hersbruck - Drank the beers in Hersbruck but not at the brewery. Pretty solid Kellerbier and Dunkles without being world-beating. Simon Lauf - Had the beer in Lauf but again not at the brewery tap. You'd think for a weizen-only brewery the beer would be better. Not bad, but there are heaps better. Nothhaft Marktredwitz - Fairly plain stuff fare, but Marktredwitz is definitely worth checking out for Zoigl zum Frischen Keller in the main street and the place that does the Kneitinger beers. Barfüsser Nürnberg, Altstadthof Nürnberg - Altstadthof seems to have lost something since my previous visit, and Barfüsser isn't THAT bad. You'll almost certainly pass through Nürnberg at some point so I'd say it's worth checking them both out. Don't forget Schanzenbräu either. Brauerei-Vereinigung Pegnitz - Had these in Pegnitz but not at the brewery, fairly plain. Enzensteiner Schnaittach - Again, had it in Schnaittach but not at the brewery. Excellent Landbier and they seem to do some other interesting stuff. I'm very keen to return to this brewery. Schaffer Schnaittach - Tried the Pils in Schnaittach and thought it was excellent. |
