| Well it took me awhile but I found a local beer store and a couple of pubs that carry a selection of Franconian beer. Colonial Spirits www.colonialspirits.com in Acton, Mass. had the following selection: Schlenkerla Rauchbier Marzen Schlenkerla Helles Schlenkerla Rauchbier Weissen Schlenkerla Urbock Mahr's Ungespundet Mahr's Bock Mahr's Pilsner Mahr's Leichtbier St. Georgen of Buttenheim Kellerbier I stocked up on most of these and complimented the store owner on his selection. I thought the Mahr's Bock beer was outstanding and I also quite enjoyed the St. Georgen Kellerbier. My wife really liked the Schlenkerla Helles and drank all 4 bottles. As a result now she is excited to visit Bamberg with me! Well of course its not as good as being there but it should help tie me over until I can return to Bamberg in May. Also located a couple of Mass. pubs that have Mahr's beer in the bottle and Spezial Rauchbier on tap. I haven't had a chance to visit them but a friend ran recon for me and confirmed that they had these beers available.
